Some of you may know that becoming an orthodontist requires an additional 11 years of schooling AFTER high school, but the studying doesn’t stop there! Offering the latest innovations and state-of-the-art care in our office means that we can’t rest on our laurels. Dr. Moopen and the staff regularly attend educational courses to study advances in orthodontics and dentistry. We also learn techniques in efficiency, nutrition, CPR – even fascinating nuances about scheduling. In the past few years, we have traveled around the state and the country to ensure we know the best techniques available. Is it because we’re dental nerds? Well, partially (don’t get Dr. Moopen started on etching and its effects on the bacterial pellicle). But mainly it’s because we’re dedicated to helping your smile last a lifetime while making your treatment the best experience possible.
